I’ve been blessed with the love and friendship of my greatest joy in my life with my dear husband, Ben. And I have the gratification of knowing that I have many loving friends who are loyal and supportive, each special to me in their very own extraordinary way. I met my business partner, Lisa Hanfileti. Now we didn’t have a clue at that time that we would ever build a business together. That idea grew as we shared skills and experience, ideas and a ton of laughter. Our friendship started out first in a work environment over the telephone. Hours and hours of telephone calls, because Lisa lives in beautiful Vancouver, Washington and I live in Anaheim Hills, California. In fact, it was six months before we ever met in person. We had the opportunity to evaluate each other’s work ethics before our friendship developed. I had invited Lisa to participate with me in the writing of an ebook and I was absolutely astounded at the amount of effort and time she dedicated to the project. She earned credibility with me and as a result she earned my respect, trust, and loyalty as a friend. We are completely opposite and completely the same (does that make sense?). I’m into manicures, high-heels, and can be high maintenance (ask my husband) and Lisa is down-to-earth, natural, easy going and beautiful inside and out. What do we have in common? Our work ethics, sense of humor, and passion for life and helping the less fortunate including the elderly, dogs, cats and horses, and our fellow baby boomers. What’s better than having a best friend and building a business together? I’m lucky to have done it twice in my life; first with my husband in our family business and now with my business partner, Lisa Hanfileti in our Empowered Business Entrepreneurs. Alicia Bausley is a class act. I have never met anyone more willing to go the extra mile for a client (or friend, family member, and animal, for that matter). I have seen her spend hours teaching and training people who are not even on her team! What makes our friendship and business relationship amazing is that we each feel like, “I’m the lucky one!" It is rare when you find someone who complements your talents and has strengths where you have weaknesses. In our case, what we have created together as a team is truly far greater than anything we could have ever done independently. The icing on the cake (as Alicia's aptly puts it) is the tremendous friendship we have and the laughter that inevitably creeps into every conversation and interaction we have.
